Poles Apart
Apr. 6th, 2011 03:47 pmA lovely sunny day in which i was in the garden reading a book and having a cup of coffee. Tim has gone to Sittingbourne to do some business and will be returning late afternoon. I took the opportunity to relax awhile whilst the cats sleep upstairs.
The Guardian has been doing a number of fascinating articles on Poland this week, with an interview with Lech Welesa, former leader of Soldarity and once President of Poland, being the highlight. He feels that his country has moved away from the ideals of a post-communist society into one too cosey with capitalism.

Talking of Polish people, back in Brighton over the weekend i saw Kinga and her boyfirend Ewan at the Evening Star. It was the Friday night i spoke with him and they came to my DJ gig at the Northern Lights. It had slipped my mind until now after reading the articles in the Guardian about Poland.
