Today I sold off some albums and shiny five inch discs down at Monkey Music and popped into the Evening Star. Met Mike Lacey on a day off from work. Not seem him for ages. He use to frequent the pub quite regularly in the weekday early evenings, after coming back from work and before he went home.
I had a pint of the Dark Star Mai Bock (5.6 % ABV) , which is a traditional German style Helles bier. It is a quite a dry beer with the slightest hint of maltiness. Typical of these golden Rhineland beers, the Hallertower and Spalt hops give the ale a peppery and muted bitterness.
Sunday GC and I saw the film “Limitless” at the Marina Cineworld. Verdict – superb!
