Brighton Brillo Returns
Aug. 6th, 2011 06:20 pmSometimes I do like to read the minutiae of people's lives on LJ , and much prefer it to the short attention span blips you get from Facebook and Twitter. It is thus good to read a blog from
ortho_bob . The thing about LJ is that it allows you to write on subjects that interests you , or to voice opinions on politics for example, hence the recent d Dos attacks from Russia against dissidents. I also prefer the editing features in LJ and that it is relatively free from adverts.
I am looking forward to next weekend when I return to the Sussex coast and DJ down at The Northern Lights on Saturday evening which I have re-dubbed “Brillo” in homage to the VG+ crowd. One tweeter I have hooked up with knows of the venue very well and I hope he comes and visits that evening.
BRIGHTON BRILLO starts at 8.30 pm (approx) and winds up 2am in the morning.
Not much to report about today. Loads of sport on TV ,which cousin has been watching, and the football season is back. Brighton's first game at the new ground at Falmer went well with a 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers. I bet the old Evening Star was busy before the kick-off as most fans seem to gather there beforehand whenever there is a home game.
I think it is time to catch up with some DVDs on the laptop. I really do not care much for sport except football anyway.
