Cheap Exploring
Aug. 16th, 2011 11:36 pmI have found the cheapest Explorer ticket this morning on my journey back to Kent. A mere £5.50 on the Renown bus company 126 from Seaford to Polegate. One pond fifty cheaper than Brighton and Hove bus company, and it got me all the way to Teynham.
In Tunbridge Wells I had lunch at the Opera House , a Wetherspoons pub. Their beer and beefburger offer with chips for £3.99 is a top deal indeed, especially when the guest ale I had was Hop Back OTT (6.5 ABV). Stonking good value!
Afterwards, I took a detour ,via Tenderden, to Ashford to do a mystery shop before catching the Faversham bus and then onwards to sleepsville.
The journey took me through some of the loveliest villages including Cranbrook, Benenden and Ghoudhurst , and the market town of Tenderden is just lovely. Whether the countryside of Kent is any better than that of Sussex is another matter, For me, there is little between them. Both counties are lovely.
Feeling quite tired, so off to bed.
