Last night we had our  mid week constitutional at the Dover Castle pub. The usual bog standard crap was available, such as “Spitfire”, which I opted for. Still no Gold Label available though.

I was gutted to find the Evening Star closed on Monday, but a reassuring notice on the door said they were having a refit and it will be open again this coming weekend.

Tim was back on the alcohol again. However, he seemed to be controlling it without going silly. We met up with Kevin and Kate, and my cousin is going with them to see the indie group, The Wombats, in Folkestone on the 23rd Sept., as Kevin is fascinated by Tim and his gig attending past. THEY BOTH ARE MUSIC MAD.

Kevin took his family once to L.A. to see Prince in concert. Cost four thousand quid, including flights and hotels, but short change for a millionaire.

Last night i listened to some Jon Coltrane music from the Impulse 8 CD box set, "Classic Quartet Complete"   before walking up to the pub. Wonderful jazz genius without a doubt.

Torchwood continues to be gripping drama, and this ten parter certainly pulls no punches in visceral delights. With that in mind I look forward to the second set of Dr.Who coming back over the bank holiday weekend. I await with bated breathe.

Tomorrow I am off the the Sussex coast again. I have a few shops to do on route and look forward to imbibing quality ale in the Evening Star when it reopens at the weekend.

Texted Manu down at the Northern Lights to obtain further gig dates. Brighton Brillo will be back September 16th and followed by October 22nd. Yet to sort out a date fro November and December.

I think i would like to be Slavoj Zizek ,because as i have commentated here before, he is my favourite cultural commenter and philosopher. His intellect is fine wired and to walk in his shoes would be my dream.
