Well another dull misty and cool day. I cowsed* into Seaford town centre this morning and picked up a copy of the Independent and got money back for a printer ink cartridge that GC hasn't used. I might dilly dally into Brighton later via the bus.

Posted some vinyl LP's off as well.

Two thirds through the Philip Pullman book “Northern Lights”, and once done ,will read the “What Philosophy Is” book by Anthony O'Hear (Penguin)

The usual crowd were at the Evening Star. Nigel, postman Mark, Jersey Chris, Sarge , Paul and Ewan. Had a couple of the Smoked Porter.

Felt a bit like a stranger having not spoken to them for a while, and left with a tinge of sadness. I think my next visit to Brighton will have to be longer , and have intimated this already to GC.

Picked up a cheap hardback copy of “Agent Zig Zag” by Ben McIntyre from Sandpiper Books from their back room. I have given this to GC as I prefer hardbacks to paperbacks wherever possible. I have read the book already since I had a paperback copy from the World Book Night event earlier this year.

Bought for myself Julian Barnes's  latest novel, and the winning Booker prize title “The Sense Of An Ending” , obviously in hardback.

Back to Kent tomorrow.
