Last night , apart from the celebration of three birthdays, it was a tremendous night for my cousin, Tim, whose worship of the Chelsea team, awarded him and any other Chelsea fan with a glorious win over Bayern Munich that went to penalties in the end.

I have never seen anybody so happy when they clinched the winning penalty in a nerve wrecking shoot out after a stalemate 1-1 draw in extra time.

I am glad they took away the smug arrogance of the Germans.

Barry The Train joined us for some drinks, and gave us a few drinks as well. Thanks for coming, mate.

After some initial problems getting to grips with Phil’s amp, the music flowed very well into the single speaker, and after almost forgetting to plug in the external hard drive, the auto DJ went well as we tucked into our soup. We then had the main meal, which was a bit of a struggle after s very fulsome spicy soup. Afterwards, i then went into standard DJ mode, by taking it off the autopilot.

I still prefer Virtual DJ but the MIxxx software is easy to use, and i love the auto mode, which allows you to stack up to 99 tracks.

So as always, here is the playlist , from what i remember - in no particular order -

Benny Golson - Killer Joe
Tubby Hayes - Down In The Village             (Barry the Train liked this one!)
Miles Davis Sextet - Teo

Gunter Kallman Chorus - Daydream
Shelagh McDonald - Stargazer
Brother Ah - Motherless Child
Stereo Venus - Strange Waltz
Talk Talk - It’s My Life
Brass Construction - Movin’                    (Barry the Train wanted that track)
Sarah Vaughan - My Ship
Paul Weller - Study In Blue
Zap Pow - Soul Rebel
Andy Williams - Music To Watch Girls By
Dudley Moore - The Millionaire
The Monkees - Purpoise Song
Shocking Blue - Hot Sand
The Paul Horn Qunitet - Mr. Bond
Sonny Rollins - Alfie’s Theme Differently
Dr. John - Gris Gris Gumbo

Gabor Szabo - Spellbinder
Marc Moulin - Who Stole The Groove?
Robert Glasper Experiment with Erykah Badu - Afro Blue                (Mike liked this one)
Mongo Santamaria - Afro Blue
Etta Jones - Nature Boy
Blondie - Maria
Us 3 - Cantaloop
Ms.Dynamite - A Little Deeper
Junior Wells - Yonder Wall
The Spiders - Evil Ways                                  (Tim thought it was Santana)
Saint John - Stand Up Baby

Sarah Vaughan - Mystery Of Man
Willie Bobo and The Bo-gents - Bobo! Do That Thing
Sam Gopal - The Sun Is Burning
Fleur De Lys - Crazy How Love Slips Away
Shocking Blue - Love Buzz
The Free Design - An Elegy
Triste Janero - In The Garden
Victor Feldman All Stars - Ritual
Max Roach Plus Four - As Long As You’re Living

and for Tim when Chelsea won the game and became European champions -

Chelsea FC Team - Blue Is The Colour

There were a few other tracks, but because i did not log them down, i canna remember them now. Mike left first feeling totally pooped out, i stayed longer, and Tim ended the night drinking with Phil.

A thoroughly good evening.

Mike, my brother, has a Leica camera and he gave me his old but excellent Canon Ixus 95 with 10x zoom. I took some photos with it already once the battery charged up.

So, who is a photogenic cat Jasper?

So, which book will i read next?
