Jun. 14th, 2012 11:52 pmThere are no sylvan routes in this part of Kent, as far as I am aware of, and such a verdant forest closest to the bucolic village of Teynham would be Ashdown forest. Nonetheless, I started my journey towards Canterbury forenoon and alighted in Faversham to draw some money out, and sell a few books.
In the cathedral city I popped into Pret for a coffee and a bite to eat, and then a visit on the Wincheap retail park.

I had brought my two pounds worth of vouchers from GFK Media online surveys to spend and bought a book for two quid from HMV, Charles Bukowski’s “Hollywood” (Canongate) and then in Waterstones picked up the latest London Review of Books which has an article by Slavoj Zizek in it.
Afterwards, post noon, I embarked on my journey to Maidstone to visit Fremlin Walk for another visit. These two journeys enabled me to complete the “Walden” book by Henry Thoreau which I shall write a review later on.
I am now using the Canon Ixus camera more and below are some of the recent pictures I have taken with it.

Preston Street Faversham - even here there are empty shops.

London Road,Teynham, on the way to the Co-op.
