Back in Kent, ATLC And Rumours
Jun. 13th, 2012 01:56 pmArrived back in Teynham last night at the station around 8.30 pm. GC dropped me off in Lewes after our meal at La Tasca, and doing a visit at the Lego shop. The journey was a bit slow around Uckfield and i had wondered if the River Usk had broke its banks. Luckily it hadn't ,and i can only guess it was heavy commuiter traffic. I had worked out that i might have to put Plan B into action, if i could not reach Maidstone in time for the last 333 bus to Teynham - there isn't any after 6.30pm!!
Well Plan B it was, so as soon as i got to Maidstone i took the 101 bus to Rochester, and got a free train journey from there to Teynham as there was no passenger barriers at Rochester nor any at the village.
The meal at La Tasca was delicious. i really love Spanish tapas washed down with a good vino.
Mike and Graeme arrived first followed by myself and Georgina. It was then that we decided as a group to re-establish the Tuesday Lunch Club , which we use to do once a month. We will now call it the Approximately Tuesday Lunch Club ( or in acronyms ATLC) as it may not always fall on a Tuesday. That is the Irish influence from Graeme lol.
Georgina has gone to do a hall test today run by E.B. and once again ,when GC phoned me this morning, pernicious rumours are flying around that i have been begging in London with a dog. Preposterous! I have a feeling that the twisted mind of one Andy Parr or Dave Sheldon is at work again. I just laughed it off.
I was going to go and do a Maidstone visit after my stint in Sittingbourne, but now will be doing that tomorrow morning and a couple of visits in Canterbury, as i should have some money from Lodge tomorrow and some PayPal funds in.

A Fine Day
Jun. 13th, 2012 09:23 pmA very pleasant warm day after the turmoil if the weather the last few days making one believe that summer was far away in the future. I went to Sittingbourne forenoon to do my usual twice a week stint for the governments work programme shambles. Typical, I thought, stuck inside an office on such a rare fine day.
This evening I have been listening to two CD’s and some music on the laptop. Particularly, John Tavener “The Protecting Veil”, Ravel’s “Piano Concerto For The Left Hand” and music by Gerry Hemingway from his “Electro--Acoustic Solo Works 1984 -1996” (Random Acoustics).
