Tunbridge Wells and The Slow Journey Back
Sep. 21st, 2012 10:13 pmAfter a stint at the Office this morning I took a trip to Tunbridge Wells to do a visit, just foir the hell of it. . The journey there was fine and I finished the shop just before 3pm but the journey back was horrendous. I waited for a 7 bus that did not arrive so I caught the 402 bus to Bromley, but just after leaving a large bunch of school children boarded it. As I wasn’t going to Bromley I alighted in Tonbridge as usually there is a 7 bus not far behind it going to Maidstone.
This is where my problems started , that bus did not turn up at all, and I had to wait over half an hour for the next 7 bus to Maidstone. It arrived late and consequently when I got to Maidstone, missed my Teynham bus and had to catch the Sheerness bus, and then drop off at Sittingbourne to catch a train to Teynham. Just missed a train by a minute and had to wait another half hour for the next train. I was quite furious as that return journey from Tunbridge Wells took me three hours. If I stayed on that 402 bus to Bromley I could have caught a train from said town and been home earlier.
At least in Tunbridge Wells I managed to peruse around Halls Bookshop again in the middle of doing this purchase and refund mystery shop visit. Bought two books for the princely sum of 60 pence!
