Congratulations LJ Bloggers

I am really glad to state that LJ is in better health than it has been for a good while. I have been very frustrated in the past with the dDos attacks and other problems but I have persevered with the site , and despite adding Dreamwidth as a back up, I must congratulate all who like myself have stuck by them.

In the words of .poliphilo  "LJ is a site like no other: an international site, a place where some serious blogging gets done, the online home to numbers of considerable writers, artists and photographers- but also a community where people not only talk to one another but maintain relationships of genuine warmth. If we lose it we lose something unique."

Friday Spot my cousin went to Canterbury. He obviously was on the lash again. This is how he ended up in the Dover Castle that night. He is out again at the same pub this evening, and so he was last evening. I discovered a half bottle of whisky yesterday and he has drunk five cans of Stella today. I am agog. He is being stupid.

Trouble is , it is not the drinking , although part of the problem, it is his money  running out quickly and it will be mugs here having to help out again. Well sod it - I have a visit I must do tomorrow and will be off to Ashford. If the electricity goes tomorrow on the key meter he better have money to top it up again.
