The Rochester Recalibration
Mar. 12th, 2013 09:39 pmAnother chilly day but i was determined to venture out and do something. Started in Sittingbourne with a visit to Toolstation and then an hour over at the Office this morning. Afterwards a trip over to Orpington for the final visit of the day before going back via Rochester, where i picked up a Stanley Clarke LP "School Days" for a quid in the Sue Ryder charity shop.

One day when it is warmer, and I have more time available, I must pop inside the cathedral and to have lunch in their tea rooms, although when i do have time available, I tend to end up perusing the two main bookshops , especially Baggins at the end of the High Street.
After the visit to Rochester I went back by train and had dinner at Wetherspoons in Sittingbourne, being that it was Steak Club day, and devoured a tasty medium rare rump steak with a beer.

Had to wait a good while on the bleak Rochester station as the train was delayed by twenty minutes, but the very tasty steak at The Summoner pub made up for it.
