Book 14 - Margaret Drabble "Wordsworth

P picked this slim volume up for ten pence the last time I visited Halls Bookshop in Tunbridge Wells.
This is a very good critique of the poet from a well known author, and thus a recommended introduction to his oeuvre.
Very few people enjoy everything that Wordsworth wrote. His output was large, and more than usually varied & uneven in quality. His works have of course been written about & discussed from very many different angles, but nevertheless I think there is still a tendency, despite recent criticism, to think of him purely & simply as a nature poet, with all the peculiar strengths & weaknesses that this implies.
