The Book Race

Sneezing like hell today. The return of that hay-fever problem. Well Probably, or if not that, a damn cold. Anyway,back to the antihistamine tomorrow.

Saturday was the last in the current series of Doctor Who, which ended with a teaser, and that the good old Doctor will be regenerated, with John Hurt playing him. Did my eyes deceive me? Probably not.

Friday my cousin bought a belated present for my birthday. The previous night I had watched the DVD of “The Da Vinci Code” based on the book by Dan Brown. Thoroughly enjoyable hokum, although I avoided reading the book. I mentioned this to my cousin and unbeknown to me gives him an idea. He buys the latest Dan Brown book in hardback, “Inferno”. I was dubious at first but I have already started reading it, and already well over a third of the way through it. So much for snobbery!

Another book that I started reading this morning and already on page 251 of it , is Markus Zusak's novel “The Book Thief”.. This has me really hooked, so now it is a race to see which novel I finish first.
