London Visits
Jul. 16th, 2013 11:27 pmI took three visits off GC the other day and they were all in London in the Pimlico area close to Victoria station. Today I went up there to do them.
I used a Southern Saver ticket from the local bus company (Brighton and Hove), available from any bus, which enabled me to travel anywhere in the Brighton area and includes a trip on Southern up to Victoria station or one of the other London termini.
It was an unbelievable hot humid an sticky day in the capital. Luckily he three Fara charity shops i had to visit wee all very close to each other.I had a suitcase of donational material to give to them, and as i now have a new suitcase, left the old one up there.
I bought a number of books and four singles from the three shops , and for some reason loads of critical essays on Shakespeare;s Hamlet play.

Also, a Paul Bowles novel "The spider;s House" (Abacus)
I also picked up a hardback biography of Lenin from the Retro store of the chazzer plus four singles at 50 pence each.
It has been a long day and thus i am feeling quite tired. Much cooler when i got back ton back to Brighton.
