Well, it was another night that gales blew down the main street in Teynham, and once again the area as a whole near the creeks were on flood alert.Cousin had to go in this foul weather this morning. Now it is not so bad and is at least dry. I was going to nip over to Faversham to pop in a cheque that had arrived in the post today. I had sold an LP on Discogs and wanting the cheque to clear nip over by train. However, the 12:33 train was cancelled and now it is about 13:40 i cannot be bothered and might op over tomorrow.

So in resignation, I am  listening to Miles Davis from the six CD box set, Disc two at the moment. Just one niggle, the CDs were difficult to get out and now they tend not to stay in and keep falling out. .

I have already listened to three discs of the \miles Davis Quintet box set, featuring John Coltrane, and now on a quest to get some more Miles Davis albums in the New Year. I currently have "Kind Of Blue" , "Black Beauty" (a live set at the Fillmore West), "Sketches Of Spain" " and INefertiti" . The latter album is from his more electric period before he did "Bitches Brew". It is a very under-rated album.

I have just listened to the first part of  Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" on BBC Radio 4 catch-up service. Very intriguing storyline  with a good  Gothic fantasy  feel. Shall listen to the whole story, and the book is on my Amazon wish list.

Hopefully, I shall visit Faversham  tomorrow to put the cheque into  my bank, and get some pipe shag.
