Today I Am Going To ...
Apr. 19th, 2014 08:10 amCranbrook, which has a leisure centre called Fusion Leisure in which i am doing an exit poll survey.
Cranbrook is a lovely village or small town but the job i am doing i do not fancy doing much as they want 30 interviews as a minimum for the shift and last bus back is at six this evening. So i shall do my best and sod them if they don't like it.
Perhaps i will have a chance to peruse charity shops there/

Cranbrook Visit
Apr. 19th, 2014 11:17 pmGlad to back after a long day out in Cranbrook at this sports based leisure centre , and just managed to achieve the number of interviews the draconian research company wanted.
I also had some time to browse the village centre itself, which had four charity shops and included an Oxfam shop. However, the one i really want to go back again to and peruse more often is The Hospice In The Weald charity shop It is in general a furniture shop but had a wall of books to peruse and another one full of vinyl records to dig into over, all a quid each, plus a very good range of classical CD's at a quid each.

I ended up buying two books and a CD. The books are Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" in hardback, plus an old hardback copy of a Charles Dickens book, "Christmas Stories / Pictures From Italy" . The CD is by Hector Zazou " Lights In The Dark" (Erato).

I also took a few pictures with the Camera phone of the centre of Cranbrook.

The High Street, Cranbook

St Dunstan's Church Cranbrook

It was inside here i did the surveys (yawn).
