The two reports have been done. I can now relax at least till Saturday when i am of on my jaunts again to Cranbrook for an exit survey.

Picked up a few good books again. Four in Tunbridge at a charity shop and at four for a quid i was hooked.

They are -
TALES OF THE CITY by ARMISTEAD MAUPINA Song of Stone by Iain BanksThe Good Soldier (Wordsworth Classics) by…Fermat's Last Theorem by Simon Singh

Whilst in Tunbridge Wells , the thirst devil took over, and hence into the Opera House for some vocal ease. I had another pint of that Belgian Solange ale (6.5 % ABV) followed by a Greene King Double Hopped IPA (7.2 % ABV). The latter was one i really did want to try. A strong heavy brew indeed!

I did not bother trying any more beer after that whilst i was in Sevenoaks, and after my mystery shop, caught the bus up to Wrotham and Meopham and caught the train back home. As we passed through Wrotham i saw a newsstand with the local paper headline about the death and subsequent funeral (to come) of Peaches Geldof. She lived in the village after moving from Faversham.  The private funeral will be next week.

I find it quite mind boggling that the Co-op Group can have lost so much money, and to put it in perspective, here is a  link to my brother's blog that really does show up the ineptitude of the Co-op in losing such a sum.

Possibly a little trip to Faversham is due, as i have some unwanted paperbacks to sell, and as it is a market day, might find something of interest. Also, it is quite a pleasant warm day, and it would be sacrilege to be stuck indoors. Plus, as there is always a positive, , the old Spoons pub might have some beers in that  i have not tried before.

Meanwhile, some You Tube clips for you earlobes.

First of,   a track to wake you up by The Mars Volta. from the debut CD and a track called Eriatarka.  PLAY VERY LOUD!!! ROCK ON!!

Very great debut album - an excellent review from the Wire magazine when it came out and still sounds amazing now.

From the Rio-Evolution CD the track i have chosen is by the Xavier Fischer Trio and it is called "Follow Me".

From the Giles Peterson mix CD is this groove from Sun Ra, which i must admit  the track i have not heard of before, and is called Where There Is No Sun..

And finally from the Timbaland Cd purchased yesterday is this track Symphony  which i think is the best rack from a mediocre album. I much prefer the work he did for Missy Elliott

Enjoy.

Back from Faversham. Past Sentence bookshop was not open despite being a market day. So had a pint of ale in the Wetherspoons pub from the Canterbury based Wantsum brewery called Dynamo (4.6 % ABV) and then came back.

Despite being bright it was a  bit cold out but seems warmer now or is it wishful thinking that this bank holiday will not be as crap as most bank holidays are?. .

As it is Easter, here is a poem by Allen Ginsberg.

An Eastern Ballad by Allen Ginsberg

I speak of love that comes to mind:
The moon is faithful, although blind;
She moves in thought she cannot speak.
Perfect care has made her bleak.

I never dreamed the sea so deep,
The earth so dark; so long my sleep,
I have become another child.
I wake to see the world go wild.
