It has been a day of waiting. That is, waiting for bus connections, waiting for somebody who turns up late for a meeting whilst you get there well in time, and waiting for a non-existent reply from the company who short payed you.

I left early catching the 7.24 am bus to Maidstone, had  a sausage and egg McMuffin , then catching the 7 bus to Hadlow, and transferring to the 77 to KIngs Hill. I arrived earlier than expected.so i peruse the shops in am area called Liberty Square.

The whole Kings Hill area is a modern new town, sprawling with mini roundabouts and in Liberty Square it has this pub called The Spitfire where i got refreshment. I also discovered a Sue Ryder chazzer in which i bought some books for fifty pence each,

It was sometime after  midday that  i left Kings Hill to go back to Tonbridge and transfer to the 402 bus to Sevenoaks to do  my mystery shop. I complete it, catch the bus back to Tonbridge and suddenly realize that i forgot to take a pic of the shop, the most important aspect of the visit as without that photo the company would not pay me for the visit, so i have to get the next bus back to Sevenoaks,

In the end, i do this, take more pics, and catch the return buses back home. That us , returning to a situation where nothing has changed. At least i had a good day out on a sunny warm day. I shall look forward to my Brighton trip now.

So, as i said in the previous , having to do Sevenoaks twice meant that i decided to snap away with mu handy Canon Ixus camera.

This is Sevenoaks High Street where i did my covert visit at the Thomas Cook travel agent.

IMG_1262

It is a quaint town that really was not designed for modern traffic with its narrow streets.

Back in Tonbridge i took some more photos around the ruined castle there.

The pic below is of two bikers, a chap and his shorter girlfriend in animated discussion outside the George in Teynham.

This last photo was taken the previous day. The only reason i knew that she has female is when i heard her discuss something with the guy as i walked past them afterwards.

Today i am taking no shit from no one , as i wanna be happy. Off to Brighton for lunch club , Yay! So this track would sum it all up for me, Bobby McFerrin and Don't Worry Be Happy.

Enjoy.

Today was the lunch club , formerly known as the First Tuesday Lunch Club or FTLC, but now held any day of the week per month. Our usual venue is the tapas restaurant Bellota and we always opt for the three tapas for a tenner option.

I had to leave early and catch the 7.24 am bus to Maidstone. Had breakfast there and then caught the 6 bus to Tunbridge Wells. Had a bit of a wait to catch the bus to Brighton but i arrived in good time around 12.40 , as my brother,Mike, had phoned me whilst the bus was passing through the suburbs of the city.

I had the chorizo, the spicy meatballs and the delicious salad that they do.

We got one of the staff to do a photo of the los tres réprobos (that is , the three reprobates)
with the bar in the background.

From left to right, Graeme, me and Mike.

After the meal i did another mystery shop at another travel agent branch for the company that i had a dispute with , to which they had apologized, and said that due to a computer glitch the remittances went out all wrong (I wasn't the only one) and that the balance should be in my account on Friday. A result! I also got them to up this visit today to £30.

I then took some more pics of the clock tower centrally located in the city.

I also took this amusingly painted electrical box in the street near to the Evening Star pub.

It was then time to catch the 29X bus back to Tunbridge Wells and the 209 to Tonbridge. I then took a detour train route from Tonbridge station to Canterbury and home that way. Arrived back at Teynham station at 10 pm.

For the train geeks (like my brother) the stations on the route were Marden, Staplehurst, Headcorn, Pluckley (supposedly the most haunted village in Kent), Ashford International, Wye, Chilham, Chartham, Canterbury West, a walk to Canterbury East station, then Selling, Faversham and home.

I have other pics but i shall do these in a later post.
