More Pics Please
Jun. 19th, 2014 08:32 amSo as stated yesterday here are some pictures i took with the trusty Canon camera.

Well, it had to be done. A pic of my old local the,Evening Star, in Brighton. had a quick half of the American Pale Ale waiting fro my express bus back to Tunbridge Wells.

Canterbury during the evening looking past at the West gate. This is the High Street which i had to walk to get from the West station to the East station to continue my rail journey.

As i walked down the High Street i had to take this pic of the reflection of buildings and lights upon the water.
And finally, a picture of Brighton North Street, in which Bellota is located further down the hill , and where i did the mystery shop.

It didn't look busy here, but believe me, Brighton was crammed with people at around 4.30 pm when i finished my visit.

Strange Day
Jun. 19th, 2014 09:13 pmWell this was a strange day weather wise. Hot and sunny when i popped over to Faversham this morning and after midday whilst i was in the Office it had rained clouded over and when i left at around 5 pm it was cold as hell.
Whilst in Sittingbourne before going to the Office i picked up four classical CF's from the Demelza charity shop for just one pound.
The revelatory one though is by Aleck Karis on Bridge Records from 1986 where he does some scintillating versions of Chopin's Fantasy Op.49, Elliott Carter's Night Fantasy and Robert Schumann's Carnaval op.9.
The other three are Ashkenazy's Favourite Chopin, plus his version of Rachmaninov's Symphony No.3 and The Symphonic Dances and the final disc is a collection of French music by Bizet, Dukas, Ibert, Satie, Chabrier and Saint[Saens.
