.. And Then In Brighton
Jun. 27th, 2014 07:30 amSo after the jaunt in Hove, i walk into Brighton along Church Road and Western Road. Salivate over a book at City Books , reminisce about nights spent listening to bands live at The Old Market, and hey presto i am in Brighton.
I visit the charity that allows you to take three books for free, so i pick up t

This is the inside of that charity shop. Very cool shop with smart young lads helping out in spiffing twenties jazz age clothes.
I then perambulated down to the North Laines i pooped into Sandpiper Books and from their back room find this science book for a quid.

Whilst walking in the North Laines i took a snap after leaving the bookshop of Kensington Gardens.

The window panel to the left belongs to Resident record shop. I was tempted to pop in but i didn't.
I did look around this small emporium though just going up the hill towards me old pub.

It was then that it all started to go uphill or downhill, depending on your perspective. I end up at my old imbibing chambers , The Evening Star. I had a pint of this foaming frothy strong ale from the Buxton Brewery called Axe Edge (6.8 % ABV).

Then i had to sample a cider Well with a name like that i had to give it a go! Rick The Hat (now bearded and hatless) walked into the pub , we got chatting, had a few moor beers including a Burning Sky Saisson Provision, a saisson style beer brewed with flowers and a Brodie's Mocha Milk Stout. at 9 % ABV.
To cut a long story short, i remember getting on the train , sleeping on the train whilst stationary at the terminus of Seaford, got to GC's place , had some fish, went to bed and was out like a light.
Picked up some cheap CD's too, all charity shop finds here , except for the Rautavaara CD from Fine Records.-

So feeling a bit muzzy today. Back to Kent on my bus journey across the counties and thus to pop into Sittingbourne before going home.
