Don't Cry For Me ....

I do not usually post songs from shows or musicals as they are not my bag , or genre normally, but i think this one is appropriate in relation to last night's World Cup Final, it is Julie Covington and Don't Cry For Me Argentina.

The Germans were by far the better team, although it took them a long time to beat them 1-0. A good team effort all round. Just feel sorry (don't smirk please) for cousin who had Argentina in the works sweepstakes, as he cursed last night not seeing the £32 going his way if the Argies had won.

Farscape Redux ?

Last night i watched the full Farscape - The Peacekeeper Wars on You Tube, the 2004 film after the end of the TV series. Now i have read an article going back to Feb. of this year that there could be a possible come back for the series featuring the son of Chrichton and Aeryn Sun. I do not hold much hope but secretly wishing that it would come to fruition. I loved that show. Link here -

Chagrin

Well after a cool weekend, and as people are back at work, the weather has turned really warm again, much to the chagrin of cmcmckand myself. I shall ahve to be in the Office son and really do not fancy it. Thank goodness tomorrow and the following day i shall be out and about,  in which i shall be doing a drinks only visit in Tunbridge Wells plus a few charity shop and travel agent visits.

Oh well, just hope the air conditioning is working unlike last time!

So It's Monday

The Office was sticky and clammy. Very little air circulation and a useless fan was all that there was. Air conditioning unit still out of joint. Soporific blank staring at the computer screens    was the order of the day. I was glad to get out of there at five and headed to Spoons for a cold cider.

Did not fancy cooking burgers so we had salad instead with the leftovers from yesterday, and some very tasty ham. Then after fining his lost CD, i had a coffee and listened to the radio, planning out my next few visits.

Tomorrow back to being out and about , not stuck in a damn office, assuming that it is another hot day.

Let's Bash The Vulnerable Again!

Now i am even angrier, after reading an online article in the Telegraph newspaper, cursing once more these unfeeling Tories.

The poor and vulnerable have enough to put up with as it is, and this just exacerbates the situation.
