Sometines , not often, i don't have anything to say, and loquacious ramblings fail me, thus i feel that i do not want to post up anything. In fact the only posts, except for the morning one, was two classical music posts.

When i arrived back from the Office yesterday, and after doing the salad, eating and washing up, all i wanted to do is either watch TV or listen to the radio. Well i did a bit of both.

Only Connect is back on again , now on BBC 2 rather than BBC 4 , and the Felinophiles beat the Politicos in this first episode.  Cat lovers are clever!

I also had not realised that University Challenge was back on again. I have missed the first six episodes and thus will need to catch up on them if i can.  I then followed a programme on the background to the quiz and how teams are selected.

I also downloaded a number of programmes centred around John Betjeman, and one of them that i shall be watching at some point today is Metroland. So, [livejournal.com profile] coming42 ,  thanks for your concern but only worry if i have not posted for two days on the trot.

Today i will be taking the bus over to Canterbury but as i look out my window at the moment it looks a very grey miserable day. The chance of precipitation is palpable.

Thank Goodness i opted to go by bus today. There seems to be an incident on the line and the 333 bus to Faversham was jam packed with people. So i checked online with the rail company and this is what has happened.

"Because of a major fault with the signalling equipment at Sittingbourne, all lines between Faversham and Gillingham and between Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea have been closed.
.
Engineers are on site investigating the fault and we are doing all we can to re-open the lines as quickly as possible.
.
In the meantime, replacement buses are running between Faversham and Gilingham for connections to / from London and also between Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea."

I will soon be catching the 3X to Canterbury.

So in Canterbury right now and just popped into the library there as it was starting to rain. I have a mystery shop to do anyway in the Burgate. Then perhaps a pint of ale at the local 'Spoons watering hole.

I might even peruse the ehelves of the Chaucer Bookshop. Past Sentence in Faversham was not open today until Thursday

.I am currently reading "A Street Cat Called Bob". It is a wonderful true story that has given me bouts of broad smiling and welling up inside in equal measures.Okay we  cat lovers are softies.

There was just a spittle of rain today and the sun had came out for awhile as i was leaving Canterbury.
Sod's law i thought.

Anyway, i had a pint of beer at the Bell and Crown pub , Wantsum Red Rabble (4.5 ABV), and then went perusing some book shops. I sold some books for four quid at Chaucer Books and purchased these for less than a quid, including a couple for only a quid t Waterstones in a sale.

And then some freebies outside another charity shop which stated a donation of yor choosing.

A good day indeed.
