Lunch in Tunbridge Wells
Oct. 12th, 2014 01:50 pmHalfway on the trip now. Just had a stonking large Sunday chicken roast at The Opera House pub in Tunbridge Wells. Washed down with a pint of Long Man Brewery American Pale Ale (4.0 %ABV) and a Portobello Road Gin and Tonic. All paid for by one of my shopping companies!
My bro emailed a photo of me from the beer festival yesterday and which i have downloaded here.

At the time he must have took it (surreptitiously) we were watching the Morris Men. Yep, i need a hair cut soon.
Just missed one bus so my next connecting bus is just after three so in the Bedford pub with a glass of Tonbridge Rustic Kentish Ale (4.0 % ,ABV).

Altercation
Oct. 12th, 2014 09:33 pmI may have to contact all three bus companies about the Explorer ticket and on which buses they are valid on. I had a minor altercation with an Arriva bus driver when i boarded the Maidstone bus in Tunbridge Wells, using the Brighton & Hove Discovery ticket , which replaced the former Explorer , and costs more.
Being the stubborn sod that i am, i said to the driver that i have not had a problem before, and sat down. Got to Maidstone and caught the Stagecoach bus to Teynham without a problem.
I do not think i will travel on a Sunday again. It just takes too long on a Sunday. It rather put a dampener on the preceding days.
