On The Eve ....

A mild day but it had rained this morning. It is now just a damp and dull day. My mystery shopping money is in , thank goodness, so i shall buy some booze for tomorrow. We have wine courtesy of cousin's work place and the hamper from my brother. We have cheeses as well. So i might just get some port today in Faversham.

Watched The Flash last night as well as the latest Arrow. He should not have gone against the leader of the League of Assassins. I dare not hope he is dead as the series is not the same without Oliver.

Poem Of The Week

I haven't done one of these for awhile but here is a poem i have selected for he poem of the week , it is by Hugo Williams and is called Love Poem.

Love Poem

I suppose you’re right and breaking up
would be quite a good thing,
but staying together
would be an equally good thing,
so whatever we decide to do
it will be all right. On balance,
I lean towards doing nothing,
but whatever happens we’ll go on
seeing each other, won’t we?

I suppose it wouldn’t be so bad,
seeing other people for a change,
we might even find someone
we could bear to be with
for more than half an hour,
although I doubt it somehow.
Experience suggests we go on
feeling the same about everything.

Book Finds

I was in Faversham today. That dull day turned out to be quite sunny in the end. I found that the new micro pub was open and had a pint of beer in the place. The reason for going over to Faversham was to go Morrisons to get some beer and port for the cheeses. .

Whilst in the town i found a couple of paperbacks for fifty pence each in two charity shops.






As usual , around this time of the year, there is so much crap on TV and hence i am upstairs listening to some quality music. Mind you, as it is Wednesday, Sleepy Hollow will be on later.
