In the current issue of The Wire in the modern composition / classical section of the mag there are reviews of works by CHristian Wolff, Morton Feldman, Anthony Coleman and Christopher Fox (new to me too!). Anyway, it reminded me of a pece by Christian Wolff i had on CD many years ago, and that track is Burdocks.
Another slowly unfolding and quiescent piece of music.
Enjoy.

Jan. 18th, 2015 02:39 amFor
thespian15 a clip fro the John Carpenter film Dark Star.
Thermostellar bomb gets stuck in the bombay but thinks it was dropped and plans to detonate. One of the spacecrafts crew tries to talk it out of detonating by using phenomenology.
The whole film is so funny and dark.

Bits N' Bobs
Jan. 18th, 2015 01:59 pmPretty chilly old day but at least it is dry. Just loaded up the electricity key meter again so that cousin can watch his football with the electric fire on.
Well , the DVD sale has not gone well. Just sold one from it. So i might take these unsold ones to Cex in Sittingbourne tomorrow.
Watched a pilot episode of Rewind from You Tube last night. It never got beyond the pilot.

Glenn Gould
Jan. 18th, 2015 04:54 pmI had recorded this from TV many years ago from BBC 4 but as the film is available on You Tube, and sounding better than my poor TV recording, here is a film about Glenn Gould , Glenn Gould Hereafter.
It is a retrospective of the life and work of Glenn Gould, Hereafter, synthesizes an incredible wealth of archival material from various sources, some of it previously unreleased. Made as if narrated by Gould himself, Hereafter is a fantastic window opened to the world of a true musical genius, whose magic touches us from beyond the grave.
