I am currently wading through a book on the artist Caravaggio , and so far , is quite fascinating and detailed, but then anything written by Andrew Graham-Dixon would be.

So , what books are you reading in parallel you may ask, and indeed, i shall reply.

Andrew Graham-Dixon - Caravaggio, A Life Sacred And Profane
Karin Beeler  - Investigating Charmed
Jeni Couzin (ed) - The Bloodaxe Book Of Contemporary Women Poets
Bret Easton Ellis - American Psycho
Virginia Woolf - To The Lighthouse

Mixed bag as always.

I have done my reports for yesterday , and now looking out on another sunny morning.

I was hoping React would have paid me on Friday for this month's jobs but alas they have yet to, so i suspect it will be the last day of the month. I just hope no so called "glitches" will delay the payment again.

Okay, as i mull over the implications of last night's Dr.Who episode here are some random questions, the type that [livejournal.com profile] ghost_light likes to post.

1/ When was the last time you cried?

2/ What film did you last see at the cinema?

3/ Nuts or fruit?

Apart from having a nice long walk down to Seaford beach, i spent most of the day from midday onward in GC's back garden topping up my suntan. It has been a glorious sunny day and i made the most of it.

I forgot to mention that when i caught the bus on the cost road to Hastings the other day, as i went upstairs on the double decker bus i saw Lesley, our mutual lunch club friend. She was going to Eastbourne library to do the last day of some library exit surveys.

The next lunch club will be on Thursday October 8th followed by the Eastbourne beer festival at the Winter Gardens on the Saturday. Looking forward to both events.

As this is the final day in Seaford for at least a week , until the next lunch club and beer festival, i took some pics of the town, the seafront and the pond. Kent bound tomorrow.

I have just watched the first of a three part supernatural thriller on the ITV Player called Midwinter Of The Spirit, recommended by [livejournal.com profile] poliphilo. It is something out of the ordinary, especially for ITV.

This series follows country vicar Merrily Watkins, who is a women vicar working as an exorcist in the UK. When a grisly murder takes place in her local area, the police come calling for her assistance. The evil here is real invasive evil, not the Hammer horror type if camp eval. Real and menacing evil from the other side. It is spooky, with moments of gut wrenching horror and th lighting suffused in a ghostly pallor. An edgy drama that i shall look forward to with the next two episodes.
