I am at the library and using LJ here and it is normal - plus I am on Windows 7 here in the library. I have checked both the IE browser and Google browser and it is fine. So is it the laptop at fault or the Wi-Fi at the hostel? So why am I getting the basic , well, less than basic , primitive all on the left side white background shit. I asked my neighbor to log in to me LJ pave to see what came up and he got the pages others see, not the white background shit.

Just had a payment from one of my companies , a small one, eighteen quid for one visit, but a little unexpected and much needed. It was one of those female fashion visits I did.

Anyway, bro is coming jut for the day and not staying overnight.

Not a problem, so I might head off to Crowborough later to do that supermarket visit from last week.

Weather - sunshine and showers and quite humid and warm.

Aha - the problem is solved as I am at Spoons in Faversham and changed my theme - and it looks cool. I can only guess it is the Wi-Fi at the hostel that has caused the problem. But why LJ and no other site! Okay. so I am using IE at the moment rather than Chrome - but that will be my next experiment. That awful black bar has gone as well.

I did my bank / building society covert visit using an audio recording dongle device to record the conversation. I knew I should have a trench coat and Galois cigs for this spy classic visit. Yet to do the short report - just happy that LJ is back to normal.

Weather is now fine and sunny but we had a period of showery rain.

Terry Southern "Now Dig This : The Unspeakable Writings of Terry Southern, 1950-1995" (Grove Press)

Terry's wild, salacious humor fully present here, in a miscellany of forms, but also, sadly, this collection somewhat chronicles his decline into a Capote-like self parody once his era was gone. Still, Terry Southern on his worst day could write (and talk--several of the pieces in this collection are hilarious interviews)in a way most writers can only dream about.
