Rather late in the day with this post but the WiFi at the hostel has been unkind to LJ again for some reason -so i have sojourned to the pub to do this blog.

Today turned out to be a very sunny and warm day - a surprise really as i thought we had seen the last of the good hot days. I have been out in the park reading , and then had salad for lunch - spicy coleslaw, mixed greens, tomatoes, and herring in a mango and peppercorn sauce.

Watched some more Supernatural from season 11 as well.

Fifteen years ago today was he 9/11 disaster, The ramifications around the world still reverberate even today.

Peace be with you all,

Time for a couple of poems that i like.

A Question

Poem by Robert Frost

A voice said, Look me in the stars
And tell me truly, men of earth,
If all the soul-and-body scars
Were not too much to pay for birth.

Cross

Poem by Langston Hughes

My old man's a white old man
And my old mother's black.
If ever I cursed my white old man
I take my curses back.
If ever I cursed my black old mother
And wished she were in hell,
I'm sorry for that evil wish
And now I wish her well
My old man died in a fine big house.
My ma died in a shack.
I wonder where I'm going to die,
Being neither white nor black?
