This will probably get me booed by other Americans, but Americans dwell too much on it. It's almost like it's become a holy day. We love to mourn and rush off to war, but we don't take action where it's really needed. :(
Hugs, Jon

I won't boo, because it is your right to speak your mind and voice your opinions. I don't have to agree with you, but I will back your right to say what you feel.

That is a refreshing attitude.

I totally agree with you. It was tragic and could have been avoided. Remember , yes, but not this mawkish melancholia.

The one thing I remember from that day that touched me deeply, and in a very good way, I suppose was seeing and hearing The Star Spangled Banner being played at Buckingham Palace.

It was a sad day, for sure.

Oddly enough, it was the day I got an audition notice for the following day, and it was a role I did book. I was the banker in episode 4, I believe, of Smallville. I was robbed at gunpoint by someone who appeared to be Lex Luther (no spoilers though, so I won't say more if you haven't seen the episode). The poor director even during the audition seemed to be in a state of shock.

Most productions stopped at that point. Most American actors refused to board a plane for the next year or so which really put a crimp in business for Vancouver.
