In Faversham
Sep. 23rd, 2016 09:12 pmWell after a cool start the day turned out to be the warmest so far since the heat wave of the previous week. I shipped myself over to Faversham for the day and sold a few paperbacks for a fiver, and picked up some pipe tobacco as well.
I also managed to get some decent sunbathing done both in a park
over at Kemsley and outside the library in Faversham.
I found a couple of books for a total sum of fifty pence as well These are -

I do love the books that Angela Carter wrote. A warped sense of the strange and surreal pervades her stories.

The Friday Five
Sep. 23rd, 2016 09:24 pmStill on a book theme here is my five -
Which was the last book you gave up on, and the reasons why?
Which was the last book you read the blurb of, constructed a version of in your mind, and were promptly disappointed by once you finally got around to actually reading it?
What book you expected to hate, didn’t, and then got angry about not hating it?
Do you read reviews of books? Before or after you read the books themselves?
And finally, mention any book with a twist that felt like a blow to the chest and why?
