Another sunny day.

So, to keep busy, I am traveling to Canterbury today. I have one job there to do, and then the rest of the day will be for leisure.

It will give me something else to do rather than worry.

It is very mild today. Around 13C and it is sunny, with a lovely blue sky.

I am drinking some cider before my lunch. I am dressed in a T-shirt and denim only.

A kind of salubrious Sunday indeed.

Sunny Day

It's sunny if a cold day. Much better than the drabness that pervaded yesterday. So, once the potman has been and gone, I will be popping to town first to see Kate at Past Sentence and then to Canterbury to do another covert non-purchase shop.

Hopefully, the package from bro should arrive today.

It turned out to be a sunny day after the last few days of meh. So I went for a walk into town. Picked up some more mushrooms and did a favour for Mary at number 27. She wanted five copies of the picture I took of Anna and her friends when they did the Monday food fest.

Last night I watched two Marvel movies, one on a DVD and the other on the Disney Plus channel. The DVD was The Punisher, which is more of a crime vigilante thing similar to Gotham. The other was the martial arts supernatural thriller Shang Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings. Both are pretty good in their different ways.

Another gloriously sunny day and one in which sunbathing must be taken. The temperature crept up between 27C - 30C today. An Indian Summer indeed! Great sunny weather at last!

I popped over to Ramsgate and Westwood Cross this afternoon to do a couple of mystery shops. Margate beach was packed!!!!

Arrived home just after six after a couple of cold satisfying and stratifying beers at my local. Jaipur is such a lovely spicy pale ale.

Well, it has been a fine sunny day all around.

This morning another CD arrived through the post. It was one album I use to have on vinyl back in the late nineties. I listened to that wonderful jazz album and then prepared for my visit to Sheerness.

In Sheerness during the early afternoon, I did a couple of covert betting shop visits. I placed a horse racing bet for a later race. The horse was called Voodoo Ray. I thought it was a terrific name as it reminded me of that old rave classic. Well, after coming home and doing my reports, I checked the results. I did an each-way bet at two turf accountants. Blow me down, it came third, so I will get something back the next time I visit either of the two betting shoop again.

Oh, and next door to one of them was an Oxfam shop, and I bought four Cds for a quid, one of them being a Neil Young album from 2005 called "Prairie Wind".

A result all around!

Oh, and here is Voodoo Ray -

A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray

Thanks, Ray!

A much cooler day with some sunshine and some cloud and a little windy as well. Much better to do some work and that is what I did, four visits in total. Two in Gravesend , one in Rochester and one in Sittingbourne. A very productive day.

Two of the four visits were charity shops as well.

Rochester High Street.

So, now it is time to do some reports.

Finally, we had a sunny afternoon with the temperature reaching 22C. I did some afternoon sunbathing.

Lunch was sausage and apple casserole in a cider sauce., green beans, and potatoes.

It was delicious.

It looks like the rest of the week will be sunny all the way through.

YES!!!!!!
Another sunny day ...
It makes me smile,
Been sunbathing.
So nothing else matters
And that is a fact.

Finally, it seems that the summer is here with temps reaching 20C!! Managed to get some serious sunbathing done after my journey to Folkestone.

Yep, I did another of these exit surveys as somebody else failed to do the work, so I was brought in to snap the final quota. It couldn't have happened on a sunnier day. I had to leave early though as it was a ten to two pm shift, so I caught the 7:20 AM bus to Canterbury first before picking up the Folkestone bus. I was in the town by 9:30 AM.

I did some charity shop perusing in Canterbury, after finishing work, and before heading home. Picked up one jazz CD and a couple of classical ones for four quid.

Back in Faversham I found my sweet hot spot near the library and sunbathed for a few hours drinking some canned beer. By then it was blue skies all the way!!

I also bought a book from Past Sentence. Well, I just had to see the lovely Kate.
So, I hope the next few days are just as sunny.

Well, that was a lovely day. The sunniest, warmest day of this year so far. I did some sunbathing this afternoon after my journeys. Yep, this morning I went and completed a couple of mystery shop visits in Maidstone and Gillingham. I am about to do the reports now.

Yes, it was a siesta I had - after a couple of ciders!

At least tomorrow I have no travelling to do. Saturday, I will be in Folkestone again. So let us hope the good warm weather continues.

A much warmer day.
Out in the garden sunbathing listening to the radio.
Reading a book later whilst soaking in the sun.
Have to make most of it as tomorrow is meant to be cold and windy.

Lovely Day

Well, what a lovely day it turned out to be. After a slightly cold morning, the afternoon was quite warm. Warm enough to sunbathe. In fact, I had my lunch and a bottle of wine outside soaking up the sun.

May be an image of drink

Lunch was three sausages, mash potato and peas.

A very satisfying day.

I swear on my life it was warmer today despite the forecast saying it was going to be cooler.  So I used my trusted app which said that here in Ospringe it was 24C - but my sweet spot is always warmer than the average anyway.

So with such a sunny day I just had to be outside. Close the laptop etc. Lap up the sunshine.

Do a bit of reading. Listen to music. Volume up. Top the tan. Relax.

Cannot beat these halcyon days ...

Well, what a glorious day it has been. Been outside in the deck chair sunning myself. It had reached 22 C today and tomorrow will be 20 C before cooling down again. Boohoo! Very much a T-shirt day and an opportunity to do another painting or at least progress on one - one in a fauvist style and the other towards the colour field abstraction of suprematism.

Music to help in the background - from a couple of the shorter Stravinsky ballets and some boppish jazz from Cedar Walton and Johnny Griffin.

I took a couple of pics around my local area as I walked to the convenience store to get some food items midday.

Tonight it is quizzing night on the telly.

Well, what a lovely sunny warmish day it has been. I spent some time looking out to the garden listening to the birds from the comfort of my garden seat which I secured with my name on it.

It was blue skies all day. I hope it stays that way over the weekend.

I still had to finish a couple of covert phone call shops, so I did one in the morning and the other two between 4 and 5 pm.

Lunch was a very healthy Beef and Chianti lasagne with a pea medley and a side of leafy salad dressed in olive oil. This was washed down with a fine red Italian wine.

Tomorrow will be a fishy day.

Well, what a very warm day it has been. I did quite a bit of sunbathing. Listened to some music. Rearranged my CD's and did some reading.

That has been the thrust of the day.

I needed to rearrange the CD's because I sold an item which I am still unable to find and I knew I had it a few days ago, Will search again tomorrow.

Lunch was a curry based veg and potato dhall - a dollop of mayo, - with a separate bowl of new potatoes in mint , melted butter and peanut sauce.

Oh, did I say I love potatoes?
jazzy_dave: (Default)
It was a day of doing very little as it was very humid and hot - a good 28 C to 31 C recorded in my sweet spot at home. The heat welted me with a punch.

Loads of cold drinks again - naturally - cider and beer.

Lunch was chilli con carne with a brown rice medley.

I did some reading but mostly sweltered under the sun.

Even now after a second shower I feel hot and bothered lol! Wished I gone down to the local now to get some vino for the evening.
jazzy_dave: (Default)
Another warm sunny day although late afternoon the wind whipped up a bit. I did a few hours of sunbathing as well as having a few beers. I also listened to some music that I had set up as a playlist. The playlist crossed genres from rock, blues, classical, and jazz. Some Pink Floyd, Yes, Stravinsky, Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Soft Machine, Kraftwerk, J.S Bach, and Alan Hovhaness.
So in all, a very relaxing day for the last day of May. I guess now it is officially summer.

Dinner was a pepperoni pizza and garlic bread. I then had a cookie crumble flavoured ice cream. Indulgent I know but it was the last day of the weekend.

The evening has been spent watching Fringe and now I have reached Season 4.
jazzy_dave: (Default)
It has been another gloriously sunny day. No clouds in the sky and excellent sunbathing weather. I did a few hours of that, drinking beer and listening to the radio.
I popped into town to get some provisions and did a mystery shop as well. I have four of these to do relating to COVID 19 safety rules for one of my European research companies worth twenty euros.

The garden looks really lovely and bucolic this time of the year.

Other residents enjoying the sun.

Lunch was a cheese and ham sarnie and my dinner a few minutes ago was two boneless salmon steaks chopped with caramelized slices of onion on a bed of Mexican rice.

Last night on Amazon Prime I watched a documentary on the making of Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd/. It was fascinating. An album that is still a classic.

Watching Season 3 of Fringe. Probably the best season so far. The idea of a parallel Earth and universes colliding are mindbogglingly developed here. I gave forgotten how good that series was!!

Well, the forecast for the week ahead is simply sunning sun all the way.
