Well, now it is the first day of October we are now in the autumnal season.

Had a filling lunch at home of lamb's liver and  crsipy bacon with mashed potatoes  and peas, followed by strawberries on top of a chocolate mousse. Nicely filling.

It rained heavily this morning but for now the sun is out and i will be popping over to Faversham soon.

The library is selling off paperbacks fro twenty pence each so i picked up a few.

I listened to this radio drama last night -

Dramatisation by Shaun McKenna of John le Carre's novel, the fourth to feature spymaster George Smiley.

When word reaches The Department that Soviet missiles are being installed close to the West German border, they seize the opportunity to relive former glories. And as Leiser's clandestine mission into East German territory proceeds, it soon becomes clear that nothing is quite what it seems

Leclerc ...... Ian McDiarmid
George Smiley ...... Simon Russell Beale
Avery ...... Patrick Kennedy
Haldane ...... Philip Jackson
Woodford ...... David Hargeaves
Sarah ...... Fenella Woolgar
Control ...... John Rowe
Carol ...... Annabelle Dowler
Taylor/Sutherland ...... Philip Fox
Peersen ...... Stephen Hogan
Lansen ...... Matt Addis
Girl ...... Lizzy Watts
Fred Leiser ...... Piotr Baumann

When to "poop" or "pop" ?   One of those errors that can come up if you do not proofread everything you have written even after a spill Czech - spell check. The funniest gaff being the Aberdeen Anus Angus beef.

Last night a few beers at the Star following a visit to the Mash Tun where Dan now works after his contract with the Quadrant ended at the weekend previous. Then over to see Chris and Rick and a few spliffs of the ganja listening to Chris's selection of disco grooves from the late seventies and early eighties period.

Whilst at the Evening Satr met Ewan and his friend Vince and we had a convivial and sometimes amusing chat outside the pub.

Luckily with a bit of deviuos subturfuge i made sure i got a night at the Quadrant for next month - Thursday 19th to be exact as Dan said the current propietor will honour all current arrangements.

What is the best thing you have done for a friend?

Do you prefer a dark room or a light room when relaxing?

Do you get over-involved with TV or movie plots?

As it is October and that most witching of months -

witch charmed witches charmed opening qarnet

The weather is autumnal now and the leaves of the trees in the gardens of the hostel and in the parks and recreational areas are falling on the ground. I love to trample my feet over the fallen leaves making them crunch.

You can take a leaf out of my book.

Thus it mean more re-runs of Charmed and Buffy. I also have this book to read.

Gute Nacht
