Alan Barnes Quartet
Jun. 3rd, 2017 12:06 pmIn the end and around none i left the pub in Faversham last night and walked down Preston Street towards the Alexandra Centre, where the jazz band had finished their first set. So i walk in, unchallenged and enter the auditorium to wait for the second set.My mate, Ewert was there, and he asked to pull up a pew to have a quick chat before the guys came onto the stage again. I did not tell him i got in for free.
The band played really, and whilst it was modern contemporary mainstream jazz on the whole, The Alan Barnes Quartet played a fine range of tunes. I applaud them.

After the gig we both nipped into The Bear for a beer before catching the final train back to Sittingbourne.
