It was a wonderful relaxing day ending up in a meet with Phil at our local Spoons pub last night. Today i am back tn the fray again.Having done two visits already, one in Hempstead Valley and a pub food and drink visit in Maidstone , soon i shall be heading off to Canterbury via Faversham.

I have received for payments from companies i work for as well.So i have ordered this box set (on Amazon) of all of Ornette Coleman's Atlantic Recordings.

Ornette is mentioned in the Wire Primers book ,and this set is highly recommended and only £26! This is one of the six discs on the set - which can be purchased individually, Free Jazz LP.

Another productive day in which i did four visits,so i might relax tomorrow or just do a few on the northern Kent coast, which would be Whitstable,Herne Bay and Ramsgate.

Next Tuesday is our monthly lunch club and that same week i will have visits in Hastings and Brighton anyway.

In Faversham i sold a few paperbacks i did not need anymore for three quid and some CD's at a record emporium for four quid. I will sort some out for tomorrow just in case i intend to go out, which i will probably do.

I saw Ewart in Faversham. He was milling outside the Bear Inn and he bought me a pint whilst i kept an eye on the time for the bus going to Canterbury.

I have some books for sale - which i could put on here - as i am beginning to have piles of them stacked from the floor upwards. Obviously , if you are not UK based we can work out postage deals,so as i am not working this Sunday i shall list what i have.

Time for a music session. And we are wired again -

Sarah Angliss - The Bows

The Bows, Sarah Angliss, for her album Ealing Feeder out now -
This track is inspired by grim English folksong The Bonny Bows (aka The Cruel Sister) - the 'bows' are the bends in the river. In the original folksong, a woman drowns when her sister pushes her into the Thames. Her body is dredged from the river and made into a fiddle - but when it's bowed, it can only play one tune: The Bows of London. And as it plays, it speaks, revealing the identity of the murderer.

More music here plus jazz )

Enjoy.
