In The Bourne
May. 20th, 2018 05:07 pmIt has been a lovely sunny day again. I covertly shopped a pub in Sittingbourne today ,enjoying their steak and eggs option that thye do on a Sunday. It was delucious.
There was a slight cock-up with the order but it soon got sorted out
Phil is coming at around seven thirty anyway.
I was going to go back at 3pm and return later on the 6.30pm bus back, but i missed the bus so i am staying.Anyway, the bus driver had aproblemwith his ticket machine and let me on free ,so now if i do use that bus i will have to pay for a ticket.
I hope Phil has his van, otherwise i will just get a free train ride this evening.

The Expanse
Aug. 12th, 2017 01:36 amI have done my reports for the four visits i did. Now it is time for bed. I got slightly sidetracked with a show from the Syfy channel called The Expanse. I watched the first three episodes of Season One - so a bit behind as there is also a Season Two available to watch. Anyway, a good start to an intriguing TV series.
Tomorrow visits to Chatham and Maidstone. Two in each town so another busy day for me again.

In Canterbury
Jul. 14th, 2017 06:39 pmAnother productive day in which i did four visits,so i might relax tomorrow or just do a few on the northern Kent coast, which would be Whitstable,Herne Bay and Ramsgate.
Next Tuesday is our monthly lunch club and that same week i will have visits in Hastings and Brighton anyway.
In Faversham i sold a few paperbacks i did not need anymore for three quid and some CD's at a record emporium for four quid. I will sort some out for tomorrow just in case i intend to go out, which i will probably do.
I saw Ewart in Faversham. He was milling outside the Bear Inn and he bought me a pint whilst i kept an eye on the time for the bus going to Canterbury.
I have some books for sale - which i could put on here - as i am beginning to have piles of them stacked from the floor upwards. Obviously , if you are not UK based we can work out postage deals,so as i am not working this Sunday i shall list what i have.

Lazy Sunday
May. 28th, 2017 08:11 pmSod's law applied to an aspect of today. After finishing off three reports for the visits i did in Eastbourne yesterday i then decided to get some sunbathing done. The morning was gloriously sunny but these reports needed to be completed and the pub report took longer than expected as the research company wanted quite a few long comments on the report. When i finally went outside to top up my tan ,within the half hour the weather clouded over, and the sun disappeared behind them. The rest of the afternoon stayed much the same with only occasional peeks from the sun.
Still, it has stayed dry if a little humid again.
I must have slept very well last night, gone out like a light, after the long journey back from the Sussex coast.
I have no long trips planned this week until later on. Monday, as it is bank holiday,i shall be relaxing at home, and Tuesday,so far, i only have a Faversham and a Herne Bay to visit. At some stage i will be visiting Hastings and Brighton but these two are not due till at least the third week of June, so i have plenty of time to get these out of the way.
Lunch today was pizza - a new flavour for me - hoisin duck pizza! It was delicious with three slices of garlic bread.
The meal i had at the pub in Eastbourne was a very spicy tasty beef madras with pilau rice, poppadom and naan bread. All paid for by the research company.
Meanwhile, i have caught up with a few of my TV shows.
