In The Bourne

Best laid plans can sometimes go awry. Hence the case i am in Sittingbourne having shuffled around some visits to tomorrow, and others further forward in time this month. However, the day , so far, has been sunny and a little milder of late. I hope it continues. I am now down to the last three boxes of the nine that Phil and i had originally transported. The boxes will be handy as i sold a couple of items on Ebay for a total cost of £40. I also sold some CD's to a guy in Finland for £20.

I found this in a charity shop for a tenner – perfect for some of my media stuff.



Needs a good ploish though.

Whilst waiting for the 333 bus to get me into Sittingbourne I took a couple of pics. The fiurst one is of the local pub in Ospringe that i visited yesterday.



And the Maison Dieu , a place i must see inside when it opens again in April. Opposite side of main road to the pub.





We are slowly getting the new home feel more like home.

This is a beguling of reflections, memories and emotion as the author comes to terms with his illness and reflects on the moments in his life that impacted on world view. A man who is dying can have either a confused mind, or an uncluttered one. His is the latter, and this deceptively simple book is worth the read Very, positive and life affirming, I think it will appeal to all people interested in human nature. The 'meaning of life' inspires us with bitter sweet personal observations. Mankell wrote his own eulogy without equal.

X Files Season 11

Drat. I have just realised the latest series of The X Files is on. That is series 11 on Channel 5 - so i have six episodes to catch up on , but they are all available via the Shush website. So this is what id did tonight  by nipping to the local pub,the Ship Inn i was hoping to watch it.. Alas,their Sky wifi does not allow  the shush.se website. Nevermind,more reasons  to visit Spoons. (Actually, some will say i do not need a reason to visit Spoons).
