I had gone to bed and then i heard a noise outside - the sound of a cat knocking something over.I do not think it was the neigbbour's puss but some other feline interloper from the estate behind. I could not see much outside as it was dark.We shall see tomorrow. Meanwhile,i will be listening to some jazz to lull me back to slumberland.

Another sunny day in which i will be heading to Hempstead Valley first and then over to Bluewater. I moved the former visit to today sothat ihave more visitson one day - as in my estimation it would have been stupid just to do the one visit.

I might even move a pub visit that i wasgoing to do tomorrow totoday.

Three visits done today, starting in Hempstead Valley and ending in Bluewater. That is,a mobile phone shop and two jewellers. I have also completed the reports to them so i have none to do tonight in which i intend to relax and watch more old episodes of Doctor Who. I have watched all the Donna Noble episodes and about tomebark on the next lot.

Meanwhile,i have finished two paperbacks, one a short novella and the other essays by George Orwell.

I am currently in Rochester about to tuck into some pub food.

Hermann Hesse "Siddhartha" (Penguin Modern Classics)

Despite this being a modern classic i really could not get into this short book at all I can understand the longing to separate oneself from the frustrations and hypocrisy of human life, however, it does seem like an abandonment rather than an accomplishment to me. Perhaps it ione of those spiritual vibes that goes over my head, leaving me with a great big “huh”, and at times it felt a little repetitive. In essence this book is a quest for self-knowledge with the ultimate realization that what one is looking for is actually with you all the time within the “Om-niverse”.
