The weather is back to rain but it is not as bad as it was on Monday.

I have no plans today except for some online research.

Meanwhile, I do have a 2 CD set of Olivier Messiaen's "Vingt Regards" to listen to by Yvonne Loriod (Erato).

His music is contemplative, sometimes atonal and angular and always fascinating.

I have downloaded the maps I need for my Bloomsbury visit on Monday around UCL. That is University College London to the uninitiated, and I will be having two visits in a couple of coffee shops, and thirdly, a pizza place attached to the university buildings. I will be topping off the day with a sushi visit up the Edgeware Road and a charity shop somewhere north of Bromley and another chazzer in Church End. Six visits in all but doable as I will be leaving dead early that morning.

Somewhere along the line, I will be heading to MVE in Notting Hill but after I have done the visits. I don't have a lot to exchange this time around but I will be concentrating on picking up some classical recordings.

That was part of my research today. The rest of the day has been doing some social media online covert shops for one of my companies. I never had to leave home.

Whilst online downloaded some Thinking Allowed podcasts and some science podcasts that interested me as well as more from the people at Radiolab.org.

I do love just intonation and gamelan music and thus here is something I think you may enjoy.

Lou Harrison: Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with Javanese Gamelan (1981/1982)

Lou Harrison (1917-2003): Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with Javanese Gamelan (1981/1982) -- Kenneth Goldsmith, violino; Terry King, violoncello -- The Mills College Gamelan Ensemble (con Lou Harrison) --

I. Grandly, but moderate
II. Stampede
III. Allegro moderato

Stillness is very difficult to achieve in modern life but one composer revels in it and for your contemplation.
