Monday Musings
Aug. 19th, 2019 01:02 pmPopping into town this afternoon to post a CD and two books sold on Discogs and eBay respectively. Steady sales these days.
I also need to pick up some printer paper which I will get from Tesco's as they have their own brand which is just as good as other brands but much cheaper.
Herne Bay on Sunday had a jazz and swing festival which Ewart invited me to - it was a free event on the pier - but the weather was rain-soaked and I am not a great swing fan - Ellington and Basie but not much beyond that. Bop, bebop, cool jazz, free jazz, soul jazz, and improv are my bag.
Listening to that live Pentangle album Sweet Child it is quite obviously imbued with a jazz and blues feeling or influence esp.in Danny Thompson's bass playing.
Tomorrow heading to Sittingbourne and Sheerness for three visits and then Wednesday an early start to take me - via Tonbridge and Heathfield - to Hastings - five visits that day. The forecast is good for the days ahead.
