Do you consider yourself a creative person?

What is something creative that you have done?

Is creativity a good thing?

I have been quiet on the football front as the damn USA beat us to get to the final.
And of course they won and rethe World Champions again.

Guess what? I am back in London again. I am doing those visits I could not complete on Friday. I had earmarked to do ten you see, which I admit was a high target. So I am doing the three I left and as these are all centred around University College London they will be easy to do. Two cafes and a bar. I have added a couple of Wasabi visits - one close by near Warren Street underground and one in Soho. The Soho one is handy as I will be exchanging discs at Sister Rays. I might even pop down to flashback Records on the Essex Road.

The day is dry and cloudy.

Blackheath

So here I am in Blackheath having a quick filter coffee in an indie coffee shop. I just perused shops in this village like conurbation of London, and whilst there is an Oxfam that opens at ten, the one that looks most interesting and does not open until eleven, and hence might need a perusal after my covert shops, is this emporium in the pics below.

The first visit now completed. A charity shop in Camberwell Green. An area north of Demark Hill and near to Peckham -made famous by Only Fools And Horses sitcom. Also, it is the name of a children's TV programme and a band that was called Camberwell Now.

The TV series.

Camberwell Now - Working Nights

Camberwell Now were formed in London in 1982 after the demise of "This Heat" featuring one of the founders of that group, drummer and vocalist Charles Hayward, bassist and vocalist Trefor Goronwy, who had joined This Heat to replace Gareth Williams after the latter had quit the band, and This Heat's former sound technician Stephen Rickard, who brought the studio to the stage with the revolutionary and possibly unique tape switchboard.

This Heat - 24 Track Loop

This one of the gems you can find on the first LP recorded by this overlooked pioneers... certainly the most adventurous LP of its time, breaking boundaries in the music world, scouting for what's gonna be later called post-punk, then post-rock.

ENJOY!

Did an exchange of CD's at Reckless Records in Berwick Street Soho and picked up three slices of jazz -

Sonny Clark - Cool Struttin' (Blue Note)
Warne Marsh Quartet- Ne Plus Ultra (Hat Art)
Sun Ra - Out There A Minute (Blast First)
