So, here I am in London. I am in Blackheath having a quick coffee before I plan the day ahead.

I will be visiting Ray's Jazz Shop first as I have a few CD's to exchange. Then I will pop to UCL to do a cafe visit. Done these before. Afterwards, I will have a look around Flashback records - I am determined to get there this time. Finally, a visit to Wimbledon to do a furniture store covert shop. The name of the shop is one of the outer gas giants in our solar system.

The weather is sunny and no rain is forecast for the day, so I think I have picked a good day for my adventures.

Well, everything has been done now. I received twenty quid for the CD's at Rays Jazz Shop and popped over to Flashback and MVE to sell or exchange some other CD's I had.

These are the ones that I got today in exchanges -

Miles Davis - Birth Of The Cool(Capitol Jazz)
Andrew Hill- Point of Departure (Blue Note)
Mike Westbrook - Live 1972 (Hux Records)
Dr.John - The Very Best Of (Rhino)
Ali Farka Toure - Radio Mali (World Circuit)
Fela Kuti & Africa 70 - Shuffering and Shmiling/No Agreement (Barclay)
Jenny Hval- Viscera (Rune Grammofon)
Goldie - Saturnz Return (FFRR Records)
Antony And The Johnsons - Debut (Secretly Canadian)

Also, this paperback for a quid.

Nothing mainstream really!

These will be listened to over the weekend.

I just remembered - when I found the two Tom Cora CD's I also found  this seminal album by the Byrds for a quid. One you rarely find in a chazzer.

The CD comes with extra tracks and a lovely annotated booklet. Fave track though has to be this one -

The Byrds - Eight Miles High

Peace,man!
