Slack Sunday
Dec. 8th, 2019 05:18 pmAnother relaxing Sunday almost over, alas. Been listening to music most of the day. Started with Yo La Tengo, then Sibelius and more Sibelius, then some Bark Psychosis, Prince, Mike Westbrook and some compilation CDs from the Wire, and back to Sibelius.
I spoke to another Dabe who resides at number 14 here in Waterstone Place. He use to be a musician and so enjoyed the Prince I was playing in the common room.
Read the local newspaper and the Guardian and had pepperoni pizza for lunch.
So I am now reading this book below until the next episode of His Dark Materials.

Chantal Chamberland is a French Canadian singer who strikes a perfect balance between the soul of the classic singer/songwriter and the dynamic verve of a jazz chanteuse. She can swing with the best of them, then capture your heart with a soft touch song.
