Sunny But Cold
May. 14th, 2020 11:12 amWell whilst it is a sunny morning so far it is quite cold. Eleven degrees C is cool. The lads here in the cul de sac are braving the coolness sitting on the three benches donated to the building - Bob Tim and one of the Johns. Mind you I could use the garden chairs here but it is too cold without some jacket on.So for the time being I am indoors catching up with everyone on LJ.
I started watching that new DC comics series called Doom Patrol. It stars Timothy Dalton who once played James Bond. I am quite enjoying this irreverent take on the superhero genre.
One aspect of this isolation and lockdown has been the amount of reading I have done when I am not watching stuff. I am likely to achieve my target well before the end of the year.
Off to post an item I sold on eBay.

The afternoon turned out to be warmer and I found it really warm in my sweet spot. However, it is expected to be much warmer tomorrow for my birthday. Good news.
When I mentioned what is your favourite painting the other day I thought about mine afterwards. It has to be this one by Vermeer.

Girl with a Pearl Earring - an oil painting by Dutch Golden Age painter Johannes Vermeer, dated c. 1665. Going by various names over the centuries, it became known by its present title towards the end of the 20th century after the large pearl earring worn by the girl portrayed there.
