Good Morning

Blah

I just had a quick nap. Well, naturally it would be after having two Master Brew beers and a Chili-con-Carne with egg fried rice meal.

Weather is dull with that insipid milky whiteness. At least it is dry. I feel a sense of heavy dreariness. I suppose it is just one of those blah days. Whatever.

Maybe when the majority of the shops open again on Monday this Zombieland of the walking dead will awake to new possibilities.

Perhaps.

Think I need another ale and a large bar of chocolate. My serotonin levels need tickling.

Ghosteen

Still overcast and the day is nearly over. I have been listening to a selection of more moody stuff ending up with the latest Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album "Ghosteen". A superb album by the way.

Last night I watched the original movie of "Dune" based on the Frank Herbert sci-fi novel. Directed by David Lynch it was a good if flawed movie and the special effects look ropey considering how good SFX is these days.

Simon Fisher Turner

I have loved the music of Simon Fisher Turner for a long while. The last album I have of his is a CD/DVD collection called Swift : 20 Pieces Of Music Film and Silence (Mute)/ Well the BFI a few years back restored the classic 1924 film of the expedition to Everest and SFT composed the music for the restored film. This was mention in a review in the Wire back in April of 2014.
