I took this pic last night.

More like a winter wonderland and it was -7C too. Brrr!
So the bed was the warmest place and I have books by my side to read just in case.

Michael Peppiatt "The Existential Englishman: Paris Among the Artists" (Bloomsbury)

This book is difficult to classify and difficult to put down. The author is by turns self-promoting and vulnerable, leading a picaresque life in a city he loves and knows intimately. He is disarmingly frank about his love life - or lives, some simultaneous – and touchingly well-informed about the streets, cafes and people of Paris. But the core of the book is a deep understanding of contemporary artists, most noticeably Francis Bacon, whose friendship he earned when very young, and retained until the artist's death. One amusing aspect of the story he tells is that he worries for most of the book about whether he is a writer, and shows by the end that he definitely is.

Well, yet another snowy day but less so. The forecast for next week is better with warmer days and some sunshine, so hopefully, all the snow has gone by then.

Most of the day has been spent reading and listening to my CDs. Lunch was pizza and garlic bread. Hadn't had pizza for a good few weeks now. It tasted extra special today.

Noticed that another "eclectic" missy has banned me probably because they are a Trumper. Nobody in their right mind would have voted for him. But let's leave it at that. Anyway, being a died-in-the-wool leftie with anarchist and antiestablishmentarianism traits, we wouldn't have mixed well. Their loss.

Anyway, enough of that political dialecticism.

Whilst the chazzers and second-hand bookshops are still closed due to COVID I have no outlet for the books or CD's that  I wanted to sell online but did not sell due to lack of interest, until now - an app called Ziffit. You scan your books or DVDs or CD's with your mobile and it will give you a trade-in price and once done you pack them up to send to a local collection point and a few days later you get the money for your trade. Don't expect top prices but it is a good way of shifting those that did not sell via Discogs or eBay. I did two now and will receive £11.44 to my selected bank account or Paypal.

Just a thought.
