Silvestri conducts Vaughan Williams - Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis
Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis by Vaughan Williams. Constantin Silvestri conducted the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in this classic EMI recording from 1968. Silvestri made some great records during his time at Bournemouth and this is one of his most famous ones. An excellent alternative to the wonderful Barbirolli version.

Jan. 5th, 2022 09:29 pmMy first day of work of the New Year. I popped over to Strood end of Medway City today. Had to do one of these one-pound store visits. I also popped into Rainham to Sunburst Books and bought three classical CDs for a quid.

It was a sunny but very cold day, just reached 6C during the afternoon.
Well, no more work till next week. I do have some online work though which means I do not have to travel in the cold.
