Had my JSA assessment done, signed on and signing on again in two weeks time, the 10th to be precise. Then afterward, i popped into The Quays to have my shower, a clean shave etc. Nab, did i feel better after that.
Just hope i will not have to wait too long for any money from them , although i guess it might be the following week after the next sign on. At least it is done now.

Here people can have a shower and I guess shave, too, as there are toilets, basins and mirrors and also do their washing plus have some free computer time at the Neighbourhood Centre. They can also give you food for two or three days and have swags to give out. Good on all the people who run it and make donations to it. And the people who worked tirelessly to get govt funding to get the building built. Before that they had to rent a place and before that they were in the Girl Guides Hut where they also paid rent. I did a volunteer stint there in my late forties to give back to society a bit.
