Have you been to a classical  concert and if so what was the last one you went to?

Do you listen to the radio at all,and what stations?

Do you play an instrument?

"Have you been to a classical concert and if so what was the last one you went to?"

George & I saw a concert in spring 1982. They played Beethoven's 2nd, and I forget whatever else
they performed. It was okay.

"Do you listen to the radio at all,and what stations?"

Rod has Sirius XM on his truck. I like the underground/60's and 70's stations best.
Classical is good, too.

Do you play an instrument?

Nope. wish I could. I can't sing worth shit, either, LOL!

I've never properly been to a classic concert. I've sat outside the fence at the outdoor music festival a couple of times, but people make so damn much noise it's impossible to hear.

I listen to public radio in the car, which has classical, jazz, and news. We get Sirius as part of our TV package, and I listen to jazz, reggae, and all sorts of rock, new and old.

Nope. Tried to learn violin as a kid and failed. Tried to learn guitar in college and failed. Now have an electric keyboard that I haven't had time for yet, but I'm not holding out much hope.

-Yes, Mr. 42 and I subscribe to the San Diego Symphony's Masterworks series and the LA Phil's New Music series and attend various choral/chamber music concerts as well (plus opera!). The last symphony concert of the season was Copland, Bernstein, and Gershwin (I was singing on the Bernstein). The last western-music-in-the-classical-tradition concert I went to was a professional choir performing pieces by composers who had some sort of connection to San Diego (including Britten, who lived here for a bit before the US entered WWII), which was pretty neat.

-I listen to radio mostly when I'm driving, though I'll occasionally stream it on the computer. I mostly listen to National Public Radio, though I'll occasionally listen to the local classical-ish station and the jazz station. We are also owners of many CDs, and those get played in the car and at home as well.

-Yes, I play piano, guitar, and trombone, but I am much better at singing than at any of those instruments.

Classic FM, Absolute Radio, Jazz FM (Late Lounge, now only available on the net, sod it)

A few - recorder, flute, tin whistle, Hapi drum. Was part of a samba band, but left due to other commitments. really want to learn how to play the bodhran and the hammered dulcimer.

Ashamed to say I probably have not been to a classical concert since my school days, unless you count the occasional performance by a classical artist or ensemble in a coffee house or at a street corner.

I do listen to the local classical station [http://www.allclassical.org/] when I'm driving.

I currently have extremely rudimentary skills on the piano and guitar. My project for the coming year is to upgrade those skills to where I can actually play something.

Yes, lots! I just went to one last week; it was a University of Toronto concert based on the coronation of King George II. I was supposed to go to one this week too but the renos interfered.

I mostly listen to CBC. News. I get my music from podcasts and such.

I used to play piano but I suck balls.

yes many for all :)

my sister-in-law singing bach chorales; very beautiful!

noncommercial stuff -- a classical station and two college stations, one of which is mostly indy-rock with some other stuff (i like the a capella show) and the other of which is more varied (i like the goth show and the world music).

guitar, flutes both transverse and keyed, doumbek, and whatever else i can lay my hands on :)

1. Yes, many. Last one was awhile ago though--probably the SC Philharmonic.
2. Yes, I have Sirius XM in my car. 80s, 80s new wave (which is not quite accurate), pop, 90s alt, stupid techno
3. I play the piano. I took clarinet in high school, and I can badly play the electric bass.

Last week: Mozart Requiem in Wilton CT. It's been decades since I've been to anything larger than a local production. I love them, though. Excellent!

I rarely listen to the radio anymore. You would think, being so close to NYC, I would be able to tune into a broad range of music, but that would be inaccurate.

I do not play any instruments. I have a guitar and have tried to teach myself ... emphasis on "tried".

I'm sure I have at some point in the past, but it's been many many years ago.

Very rarely do I have the radio on. I prefer listening to my cds. :)

I tried to learn piano when I was a kid, but it didn't last. Kicking myself for that. :o

I honestly cannot remember...

I do on occasion, I have a classical station (WUOL) out of the university here and a handful of rock (modern and non) and pop stations on my dial.

Violin. :D

Yes, the last one was a chorale conducted by [livejournal.com profile] isabeau_lark. I don't go to as many as I'd like.

No, not really. I use Spotify mostly.

Yes I play piano and organ, neither very much lately.

1) I've been to many. I think the last was around Christmas.
2) No since I got an iPod.
3) I used to play violin. But, I gave it up decades ago. It is a big regret of mine I did that.

The local conservatorium runs eveing and Sunday afternoon concerts throughout the year - last one we went to was about six weeka ago, and we're planning to go to the one, the weekend after next.

We have the classics FM station on in the car :)

Not really - I learned to play the recorder at school, but didn't we all?

Yes several. I'm trying to remember what my last one was! One of my faves was a surprise quartet playing The Hebridean Overture as I walked into Fingal's Cave. They were music students who had gone out there for the day to play the piece in the cave. I sat and listened to them for as long as I could. My first on was supposed to be a John Williams classical guitar concert but he was ill so Julian Bream did the concert instead.

Radio 2, Jazz FM (Sinatra style), and loads of different internet stations during the week. I listen to the radio most of the time. I hardly ever switch my TV on these days!

I learned Classical Guitar from age 8 and as I didn't have the opportunity during my school years at the first chance I got (aged 25) I took my exams and passed my grade 8, but just went off playing about 10 years ago! I wish I would fancy picking it up again :(

Yes, as both a performer and in the audience, but not in attendance as either for decades.

Used to listen to whichever one and only morning station would come through the airwaves/speakers at the old job, though not since leaving there in the Spring.

Nothing now, though I used to enjoy playing all the brass instruments back in the Ancient Times.
