Faversham Today

Well in the end i did not go to Rainham but Faversham - this was around three in the afternoon after i had a cheeky pint at Spoons. I sold a few paperbacks , bought some pipe tobacco and took some snaps.

Most of these buildings are from the medieval period. Faversham is Kent’s ‘Market Town of Kings’ so called because of its links with English kings and queens over more than a thousand years. The Kent town possesses a magnificent set of charters, including a confirmation of Magna Carta presented to the Barons and Port of Faversham in 1300. So, these areas are pretty old!

Reminds me somewhat of Lewes, with maybe a soupçon of Bath tossed in. =:) Looks quite delightful! And yet, I don't believe I've ever been along there.. as and when finances improve, I should perhaps remedy that. ^_^
